We are celebrating the Glenview Concert Band’s 40th Anniversary Season this year! We’ve already kicked off the celebration with a fantastic concert in November 2024, when we played some of the band’s favorite songs we’ve played over the last 40 years! Then, as is tradition, we played a combined concert with the fantastic Glenbrook South High School bands in December, bringing in the holidays with some traditional favorites. Many thanks to GBS Director of Bands Brian Boron for continuing the tradition of the combined concert! It’s wonderful to show today’s high school students that music can live on in their lives even if they take different career paths.
The Band is so excited as prepare for our 40th Anniversary Celebration Concert on April 27, 2025. We are preparing a great slate of music, and we will cap it off with the world premiere of a brand new concert band composition written by Rossano Galante! We are so honored to have Mr. Galante write a composition for us and to join us for the concert and conduct the premiere! What a fantastic experience for our entire community, for our players and for me!
